Dear friends,

We are children of a day-care centre in Germany. We live close to Berlin. Our town is called Rathenow. We have looked at the world and we know that there are many children living in many different countries. There are children who speak a different language, who maybe have a different colour of skin and who are playing different games than we do. But all children of this world want to be happy, want to have friends and all children are looking at the same sun in the sky. Therefore we have drawn a sun. We have cut this sun in half and are sending you one of the sun halves today. We would like to ask you to also draw a sun and cut it in half. Then glue one of your 2 sun halves to ours? and send the other one back to us. Once we have received your sun half, we glue it together with our half. That way we have created one sun together. We will look at pictures of your country and learn lots about your way of living. Maybe you will also look at a map of the world and look for Germany ? the country where your new friends are coming from.

We are looking forward to receiving your sun half. When we have received it, we will send you a little present just to say thank you to you!
